On Friday while at work I obtained a splinter to my right index finger, it didn't really hurt but it did go all the way through my finger.
The splinter was about 4cm long, and they couldn't remove it at A&E that night, but they did let me go home and return in the morning to go for surgery.
The surgery lasted about an hour in total, although the worst thing was the anaesthetic injections, which hurt like hell, but no pain as such when the anaesthetic wore off, and only occasional pinching needle like sensations around the area!
So I have two weeks of work, which is bliss as I don't need to engage with people unless I want to - although through these sites, and forums I do engage a little - the best part about this time off is catching up on projects, and time to meditate for longer periods. although I did wish to have a walk today it was hampered by a need to stay in for a delivery. hopefully soon I can go for a walk!
